TL;DR
Technical Content Engineer (Cloud Native) (AWS, Terraform): Building tested documentation, infrastructure-as-code examples, technical guides, and onboarding content that help cloud builders protect workloads and reach first value without support, with an accent on AWS data protection, copy-pasteable workflows, and developer-focused content. Focus on validating code and permissions in real AWS environments, creating recovery labs and demos, and improving activation, trial conversion, search visibility, and AI retrieval.

Location: United States; remote role

Salary: $72,250–$155,250 USD per year

Company

hirify.global develops an AI-powered cyber resilience platform for data protection, security, intelligence, and recovery across workloads and clouds.

What you will do

  • Own Clumio documentation, including getting-started paths, workload protection guides, API and SDK references, and recovery runbooks.
  • Build fast onboarding paths that help users protect S3, DynamoDB, RDS, EC2, and EBS workloads without human assistance.
  • Write deep technical guides covering scale, cost, recovery time, and failure scenarios for AWS workloads, Apache Iceberg, and S3 Tables.
  • Develop and maintain working Terraform modules, CloudFormation and CDK templates, scripts, sample integrations, labs, GameDay materials, and technical demos.
  • Test documented workflows in real AWS environments, including code, permissions, and failure modes.
  • Measure content impact through activation, time to first backup, trial conversion, signups, and support deflection, while partnering with engineering, product, growth, field, and partner teams.

Requirements

  • 4+ years in a developer-facing technical role such as technical writing, developer relations, solutions engineering, support engineering, or software engineering with strong writing experience.
  • Ability to write code and technical prose, validating examples before publication.
  • Working fluency with AWS, including S3, IAM, DynamoDB, RDS, and EC2.
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK, plus APIs, SDKs, and the command line.
  • Docs-as-code experience with Git, Markdown or MDX, pull-request review, and content stored alongside the product.
  • Writing samples and shipped technical content with demonstrated impact, plus working example repositories, are required.

Nice to have

  • Experience with data protection, storage, data engineering, or lakehouse architectures such as Iceberg, Parquet, or S3 Tables.
  • Experience at a product-led company where documentation served as a measurable growth channel.
  • AWS certification or personal AWS experience with meaningful billing history.
  • Experience with documentation analytics, search behavior, or optimizing content for AI retrieval.

Culture & Benefits

  • Remote work in the United States.
  • Employee stock purchase plan.
  • Continuous professional development, product training, and career pathing.
  • Global benefits and performance-based earning opportunities.
