Principal Architect, Innovation Advisory (AI)

Location: Tampa, Florida, USA. Must be a US Citizen.

What you will do

• Lead consultative discovery of customer business goals, technology landscapes, and challenges, translating findings into enterprise architectures and implementation roadmaps.
• Partner with sales and delivery teams to develop cloud adoption, migration, and cloud-native strategies that support customer outcomes and revenue objectives.
• Guide the design and delivery of AI and agentic solutions using AWS services such as Amazon Bedrock, Bedrock Agents, and Amazon Q, alongside other AI platforms.
• Evaluate AI architecture and investment tradeoffs, including build versus buy, managed versus custom models, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and retrieval-augmented generation.
• Build relationships with developers, engineering leaders, IT management, and C-level stakeholders while communicating technical and financial implications clearly.
• Deliver customer training, share architectural best practices, and act as a technical liaison between customers, engineering teams, and support.

Requirements

• 10+ years of systems engineering, cloud engineering, or software development experience.
• Experience with AWS services and solutions, software development methodologies, large customer environments, and sales or presales.
• Hands-on experience with AI platforms and tools including Anthropic Claude, OpenAI, Google Gemini, Amazon Bedrock, and Amazon Q.
• Experience designing and delivering autonomous, multi-step agentic AI workflows using Amazon Bedrock Agents, LangGraph, CrewAI, or comparable tools.
• Ability to present architecture options, ROI, governance, risk, and cost-benefit tradeoffs to executives, IT leaders, developers, and nontechnical audiences.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience; US citizenship is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with other cloud providers.
• Familiarity with UI/UX principles, customer-journey mapping, prototyping, and wireframes.
• Thought leadership demonstrated through publications or public speaking.
• Experience with responsible AI, data privacy, and enterprise governance in regulated or sensitive environments.
