Staff Security Engineer, Threat Detection & Response (Web3)

Location: New York or Miami, United States, with remote work available within the USA; in-person onboarding at a US office is required.

Salary: $168,000–$240,000 annual base salary in New York, excluding discretionary bonus and equity.

What you will do

• Lead the development and implementation of security strategies, policies, procedures, and technical solutions.
• Architect secure systems, applications, and infrastructure, including security controls, monitoring, and response mechanisms.
• Identify vulnerabilities and threats, conduct security assessments, penetration tests, and vulnerability scans, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Lead incident response activities, including investigation, containment, remediation, and post-incident analysis.
• Ensure security governance and compliance with standards and regulations including NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, CCPA, and PCI-DSS.
• Collaborate with IT, development, and operations teams, communicate risks to stakeholders, and mentor security engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• 8–10+ years of experience in security engineering and designing security solutions.
• Deep expertise in firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, encryption, and vulnerability management.
• Experience with cloud security, network security, application security, and identity and access management.
• Strong understanding of security frameworks, standards, and regulations including NIST, ISO 27001, and PCI-DSS.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, including the ability to explain technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
