Director, Security Operations (Onsite) (Cybersecurity)

Location: Onsite in Longmont, Colorado, United States; travel up to 10%

Base salary: $167,730–$249,071 per year

What you will do

• Lead the global Security Operations organization, operating model, staffing, service portfolio, priorities, and performance.
• Oversee 24x7 SOC monitoring, detection engineering, threat hunting, incident response, threat intelligence, and vulnerability management across enterprise IT, cloud, and OT.
• Direct incident response plans, crisis readiness, tabletop exercises, simulations, forensics readiness, and recovery reviews.
• Oversee firewall operations and security controls including SIEM, EDR/XDR, SOAR, telemetry, and automation.
• Define operational metrics, report risks and outcomes to senior leadership, and drive continuous improvement.
• Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing global team while managing security service providers.

Requirements

• 12+ years of cybersecurity experience, including 7+ years leading Security Operations, SOC, incident response, or related teams in large enterprises.
• Experience leading global or distributed 24x7 security operations through in-house, managed-service, or hybrid models.
• Strong experience with incident response, crisis management, detection engineering, threat intelligence, threat hunting, and vulnerability management.
• Experience overseeing firewall operations or comparable security-control service teams.
• Working knowledge of SIEM, EDR/XDR, SOAR, threat intelligence, and vulnerability management platforms.
• Proven people leadership, metrics-driven improvement, executive communication, and service-provider management experience.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline with 15+ years of experience, or an equivalent advanced-degree experience combination.
• Manufacturing, industrial, OT, or other operational-continuity experience.
• CISSP, CISM, GIAC incident response or detection certification, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with global incident exercises, forensics retainers, regulatory or customer security obligations, and executive security reporting.
