Director, Security Operations (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Lead security operations teams responsible for monitoring, alert triage, incident response, threat hunting, and cyber defense.
• Oversee detection and response across endpoint, identity, cloud, network, email, and application environments.
• Direct major incident escalation, operational readiness programs, playbooks, tabletop exercises, simulations, and post-incident reviews.
• Own the operational effectiveness of SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, threat intelligence, email security, and cloud security platforms.
• Drive automation, telemetry improvements, detection coverage, platform reliability, and scalable operating models.
• Report operational metrics to cybersecurity leadership and executive stakeholders while coordinating with Legal, Privacy, HR, Compliance, Audit, Technology, and Engineering.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive cybersecurity experience and 5+ years leading security operations, incident response, threat hunting, SOC, or cyber defense teams.
• Experience managing enterprise security operations in complex hybrid-cloud environments.
• Deep knowledge of incident response, threat detection, cyber defense operations, and security monitoring.
• Experience with enterprise security platforms such as Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, SentinelOne, Google SecOps, Splunk, CrowdStrike, or Palo Alto.
• Comfort with an on-site presence in Atlanta is required for collaboration, team leadership, and cross-functional partnership.

Nice to have

• CISSP, GIAC, GCIH, GCFA, GCIA, CISM, or equivalent certification.
• Experience supporting cybersecurity operations in highly acquisitive or global organizations.
• Experience with Microsoft Security E5, Defender XDR, Sentinel, Purview, and Azure security technologies.
• Experience implementing security automation and orchestration programs.
• Familiarity with NIST CSF, NIST 800-61, ISO 27001, NYDFS, SOX, and investigations involving ransomware, insider risk, cloud compromise, or business email compromise.
