Senior Healthcare Data Analyst, Claims Analytics

Location: Remote, US; travel required 2–5 weeks per year

Base salary: $73,539–$136,065 per year

What you will do

• Analyze large and complex healthcare and business datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.
• Communicate automated insights and recommendations to stakeholders, primarily using Looker.
• Design and implement data models while maintaining data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across sources.
• Apply statistical techniques and machine learning models to solve business challenges.
• Collaborate with IT, engineering, product, and business stakeholders to improve data collection and pipeline processes.
• Mentor junior analysts and support a data-driven culture.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics, mathematics, computer science, business analytics, or a related quantitative field.
• 5+ years of experience in analytics, data management, business intelligence, or a related field.
• Experience with healthcare claims data, including medical or pharmacy claims.
• Proficiency in SQL and programming with Python or R for analysis and automation.
• Experience with Looker, Tableau, or Power BI, plus strong data modeling, statistical analysis, and data visualization skills.
• Experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, GCP, AWS, or Azure; strong communication, problem-solving, and data storytelling skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a relevant quantitative discipline.
• Familiarity with standard claims formats, diagnosis codes, and procedure codes.
