Senior Fullstack Developer (Java)

Location: Remote within the continental United States; listed locations are Charleston, SC and Dallas, TX.

What you will do

• Design, develop, enhance, test, and maintain fullstack web applications across front-end, back-end, and data layers.
• Build APIs, user interfaces, business logic, data access components, and integrations with internal and external systems.
• Collaborate with product, design, architecture, QA, and DevSecOps stakeholders to deliver secure and scalable solutions.
• Participate in design and code reviews, troubleshooting, defect resolution, production support, and release activities.
• Optimize applications for performance, usability, accessibility, security, and maintainability.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical documentation, coding standards, and reusable development practices.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of software development experience covering front-end, back-end, and database work.
• Experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, enterprise application development, JavaScript frameworks, HTML, CSS, and responsive web development.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, relational databases, application data modeling, secure coding, and software quality principles.
• Experience with version control, CI/CD pipelines, Agile delivery, estimation, refinement, reviews, and troubleshooting across UI, service, and data layers.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to reside within the continental US and obtain a government clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience with InterSystems IRIS, healthcare integrations, or enterprise interoperability platforms.
• Familiarity with React, Redux, Python, PostgreSQL, and containerized deployments.
• Experience with Department of Veterans Affairs or federal healthcare programs.
• Cloud, Agile, or software development certifications and experience supporting remote, multi-team delivery environments.
