Location: Fully remote in the United States or Canada

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end proposals for library system procurements, including ILS/LSP, discovery, digital resource management, and analytics.
• Analyze RFP, RFI, and RFQ requirements and develop compliant proposal strategies aligned with functionality, interoperability, accessibility, and total cost of ownership.
• Write and edit technical and library-focused content covering workflows, metadata, APIs, cloud architecture, security, privacy, and user experience.
• Coordinate Sales, Product, Engineering, Professional Services, Support, Security, and other distributed stakeholders throughout proposal reviews and delivery.
• Develop win themes, executive summaries, value narratives, compliance matrices, templates, and reusable content for library procurements.
• Support presentations, demos, oral proposals, win/loss reviews, proposal metrics, and mentoring for junior writers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Library Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5–10+ years of proposal writing experience, preferably in library technology, EdTech, or SaaS platforms serving public-sector or education customers.
• Experience responding to formal RFPs for public or academic institutions.
• Strong understanding of library operations, metadata standards, interoperability, and cloud-based enterprise software.
• Exceptional writing, editing, attention to detail, compliance, and project management skills.
• Ability to work remotely from the United States or Canada.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in Library and Information Science or a related field.
• Detailed knowledge of Symphony ILS and experience working directly with academic, public, or consortium libraries.
• Familiarity with WCAG, public procurement requirements, open access, digital collections, and linked data.
• Experience with Loopio, RFPIO, Qvidian, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Salesforce, or similar tools.
