Senior Manager, Finance Governance & Controls

Location: Toronto, Canada; hybrid arrangement with 1–3 days per week on-site

What you will do

• Advise Finance stakeholders and accountable officers on governance and control practices aligned with bank policies.
• Review and test controls for design and operating effectiveness, document deficiencies, and track remediation plans.
• Monitor incident reporting, risk and control self-assessments, and change initiative risk assessments.
• Coordinate business input for regulatory group topic risk assessments and acknowledgment processes.
• Manage relationships with Internal Audit, Risk Management, Compliance, external auditors, and business stakeholders.
• Lead and guide managers responsible for governance coverage and control testing activities.

Requirements

• Leadership experience managing and developing diverse, high-performing teams.
• Experience or knowledge of banking, associated risks, and control frameworks.
• Experience with governance advisory activities, controls testing, risk assessments, and issue remediation.
• Strong relationship management, influencing, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Legal eligibility to work in Canada and, where applicable, a valid work or study permit.

Nice to have

• Experience in an auditing firm or internal audit at another financial institution.
• Risk or Finance accreditation such as CA, CPA, CIA, FRM, or CFA.
