What you will do

• Collaborate with product, engineering, business, and operations teams to identify supply chain technology opportunities.
• Translate ambiguous business requirements into practical data science and machine learning solutions.
• Conduct research and analysis, define metrics, and establish success criteria for model evaluation.
• Develop production solutions for automated decision-making at scale using statistics, machine learning, and operations research.
• Analyze complex data problems with methods such as deep learning and communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Evaluate launched solutions using real-world results and identify opportunities for improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or master's degree in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering, industrial engineering, or operations research.
• 5+ years of relevant industry or academic experience.
• Hands-on knowledge of statistics and machine learning fundamentals, with experience using Python, SQL, and basic visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Ability to independently perform data manipulation, formulate hypotheses, design experiments, and conduct statistical analysis.
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and business communication skills.
• Ability to present findings clearly to technical and business stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Advanced experience with Python, R, Java, TensorFlow, and PyTorch for large-scale ML and deep learning models.
• Experience with demand forecasting, lead time prediction, causal models, or fulfillment rate prediction.
• Experience designing large-scale optimization solutions, including decomposition methods, heuristics, metaheuristics, and hybrid methods.
• Familiarity with Spark, Hive, HBase, Redis, MongoDB, and SQL/NoSQL data systems.
• Understanding of e-commerce and experience deploying advanced models into production.
