Senior Data Scientist (CFD & Multiphysics)

Location: Onsite at hirify.global’s Hsinchu Site I in Hsinchu City, Taiwan

What you will do

• Apply data science practices including data cleaning, regression, machine learning, deep learning, large language models, and computer vision.
• Prepare data for analysis, develop models, create descriptive plots, and produce technical reports.
• Apply CFD and multiphysics modeling to wet-chemistry and deposition processes for semiconductor and electronics applications.
• Translate experimental, modeling, and simulation insights into actionable process, formulation, and equipment recommendations.
• Collaborate with R&D, process engineering, and data engineering teams.
• Communicate methods and results clearly to technical, business, and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• PhD in a science or engineering field, or a master’s degree with at least two years of relevant experience.
• Strong Python skills covering data preparation, regression, model development, visualization, and reporting.
• Formal knowledge of statistics, including regression, hypothesis testing, and experimental data analysis.
• Strong knowledge of machine learning and deep learning, with exposure to large language models, vision-language models, computer vision models, and AI workflow orchestration.
• Experience applying data science to business, engineering, or scientific problems and structuring ambiguous technical questions into analytical workflows.
• Basic competency with SQL, MongoDB or similar database queries, and visualization prototyping.

Nice to have

• Experience with COMSOL Multiphysics or other CFD and multiphysics tools.
• Knowledge of transport phenomena, electrochemical kinetics, electroplating, thin-film deposition, or wet-chemistry processes.
• Experience validating simulations against experimental or process data.
• Experience with simulation automation, model calibration, design of experiments, surrogate modeling, or physics-informed machine learning.
• Experience with cloud or scalable computing environments such as Microsoft Azure.
