TL;DR

Base salary: $80,000–$130,000 USD per year

What you will do

  • Develop and maintain vehicle-performance technical budgets.
  • Define system requirements, verification techniques, test methods, and data-analysis approaches.
  • Lead and own the technical development of spacecraft missions.
  • Perform simulations and analysis across vehicle functions and work hands-on with flight hardware.
  • Collaborate on interface specifications, CONOPS, and other design documents.
  • Support program and product management activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in software, computer, electrical, aerospace, mechanical, or another technical engineering discipline.
  • Engineering experience in the aerospace industry.
  • Experience supporting satellite or spacecraft development programs.
  • Systems Engineer II candidates need 2+ years of aerospace engineering experience.
  • U.S. citizenship is required for the listed program requirements.
  • U.S. office roles are subject to ITAR eligibility requirements, including U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, refugee or asylum status, or applicable government authorization.

Nice to have

  • Master’s or PhD in engineering.
  • Knowledge of spacecraft subsystems including ADCS, EPS, space-ground communications, C&DH, and thermal control.
  • Understanding of the space environment, orbital mechanics, and rigid body dynamics.
  • Experience with MATLAB, Python, STK, JAMA, or DOORS.
  • Experience with satellite operations and electrical, thermal-vacuum, random-vibration, or hardware-in-the-loop testing.
