Credit and Collection Analyst (Finance)

What you will do

• Evaluate customer credit limits and risk ratings using credit scores and financial analysis.
• Analyze high-risk customers and develop account strategies to prevent delinquencies.
• Create and maintain an Access database for deficiency accounts and collection activities.
• Review daily audit reports, research payment discrepancies, and ensure payments are allocated correctly.
• Negotiate initial payments, support dispute resolution, and resolve issues preventing customer payment.
• Develop conclusions, recommendations, and written reports based on research and data analysis.

Requirements

• Four-year or graduate degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated competence.
• Typically 2–4 years of experience in collections, credit, banking, or a related field; an advanced degree with little or no experience may also be considered.
• Knowledge of accounting, auditing, credit analysis, credit risk management, financial analysis, and underwriting.
• Ability to work independently on moderate-scope problems, apply judgment, and follow company policies and procedures.
• Effective communication, results orientation, learning agility, digital fluency, and customer centricity.

Nice to have

• Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP) certification.
• Certified Professional in Credit and Collections (CPCC) certification.
• Experience with SQL and portfolio management.
