Credit and Collection Analyst

What you will do

• Evaluate customer credit limits and risk ratings using credit scores and recommend appropriate actions.
• Analyze high-risk customers and develop account strategies to prevent delinquencies.
• Create and maintain an Access database for deficiency accounts and collection activities.
• Review daily internal audit reports, research payment discrepancies, and ensure correct payment allocation.
• Negotiate initial payments with customers and sales personnel to facilitate purchases beyond credit limits.
• Support dispute resolution, ensure timely collections, and prepare conclusions, recommendations, and written reports.

Requirements

• Four-year or graduate degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• Typically 2–4 years of experience in collections, credit, banking, or a related field; an advanced degree with little or no work experience may be considered.
• Knowledge of accounting, auditing, credit analysis, credit risk management, financial analysis, due diligence, and risk management.
• Experience with data analysis and SQL.
• Effective communication, results orientation, learning agility, digital fluency, and customer centricity.

Nice to have

• Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP) certification.
• Certified Professional in Credit and Collections (CPCC) certification.
