Technical Software Product Manager - Power/Performance and On-Device Experiences (AI)

Location: Austin, Texas, United States of America. Travel: 25%.

Salary: $147,050–$230,850 USD annually, with additional bonus and/or equity opportunities for candidates in the United States.

What you will do

• Define the product vision and multi-year roadmap for a desktop optimization suite focused on power, battery health, and performance.
• Translate silicon telemetry into actionable dashboards and design workflows for automated AI tuning and manual controls.
• Write product requirements for local machine learning models and define reinforcement learning rewards and AI-agent triggers.
• Prioritize engineering backlogs for real-time application-sensing telemetry pipelines.
• Collaborate with QA to validate battery-saving metrics across diverse hardware form factors.
• Manage software footprint, local profiling, behavioral analytics, and data privacy guardrails.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or an equivalent field.
• At least 5 years of experience shipping consumer or enterprise desktop software.
• Experience with Windows system utilities or performance applications.
• Practical experience deploying on-device machine learning models or small language models.
• Understanding of OS thread scheduling, background daemons, and RAM management.
• Ability to work in the United States, including the Austin, Texas location.

Nice to have

• Experience integrating software with OEM firmware or driver APIs.
• Knowledge of cross-platform desktop frameworks or native Windows desktop development.
• Experience with DirectML, ONNX Runtime, or Windows Copilot Runtime.
• Background building PC gaming performance or creator workflow tools.
