Senior OpenShift Engineer

Location: Remote - Texas, US; the job description also lists Remote - North Carolina.

What you will do

• Design, deploy, and manage bare-metal OpenShift clusters, including node management and OpenShift Virtualization with KubeVirt.
• Automate infrastructure management using Ansible and Python.
• Configure and manage OpenShift networking with CNI and storage with CSI, including technologies such as Ceph and Portworx.
• Implement monitoring and logging, troubleshoot the OpenShift environment, and manage control plane components, Operators, and OLM.
• Implement and maintain OpenShift security best practices.
• Collaborate with internal teams on migration of the virtualization stack.

Requirements

• Remote work from Texas or North Carolina, US, as stated in the posting.
• At least 5 years of Kubernetes/OpenShift experience.
• At least 3 years of experience with OpenShift on bare metal, OpenShift Virtualization, and Ansible.
• Experience implementing CSI solutions such as Ceph or Portworx, and working with Operators and OLM.
• Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, project management, and Agile skills.

Nice to have

• Virtualization experience with VMware, Nutanix, Xen, or OpenStack.
• Experience migrating from other hypervisors.
• Experience with physical servers, storage protocols such as iSCSI and NVMe-oF, and node networking including bonding modes and LACP.
