Senior Federal Platform Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: 100% remote within the United States; applicants must be U.S. Persons and able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance. Travel may be required as needed.

What you will do

• Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows for IL5, IL6, and classified environments.
• Execute releases, cutovers, validation, rollback planning, and post-release monitoring.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration with infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Maintain hardened infrastructure, configuration baselines, patching processes, logging, monitoring, alerting, and operational telemetry.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, application, networking, and deployment issues while supporting incident response and recovery.
• Support audit readiness, continuous monitoring, vulnerability remediation, compliance drift detection, and technical evidence collection.

Requirements

• U.S. Person status is required, and the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance is required.
• 7+ years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, SRE, release engineering, infrastructure engineering, or a related role.
• Hands-on experience operating systems in IL5, IL6, FedRAMP High, classified, or similarly restricted government environments.
• Strong experience with CI/CD, release automation, production change management, and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
• Experience with AWS GovCloud and/or Azure Government, plus scripting with Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar languages.
• Knowledge of secure configuration, observability, operational hardening, FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, RMF, and related federal controls.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting IL6 or classified deployments.
• Experience operating Kubernetes or containerized workloads in high-compliance environments.
• Experience with DISA STIGs, CIS benchmarks, secrets management, PAM, IAM, or zero-trust architectures.
• Experience with vulnerability management, audit evidence collection, or direct work with government agencies and mission partners.
