TL;DR
Analog IC Design Engineer (High-Speed Analog/Mixed-Signal): Developing high-speed transimpedance amplifier and laser driver IC subsystems for data rates up to 200G, from concept through validation and volume production, with an accent on circuit-level performance, power, area, and reliability optimisation. Focus on post-layout parasitic awareness, simulation-to-lab correlation, and designing robust analogue solutions for data centre, 5G, and fibre-to-the-home applications.

Location: Stansted, United Kingdom; hybrid work with office attendance Monday through Thursday

Company

hirify.global develops high-performance analog and mixed-signal semiconductor solutions for data centres, automotive, IoT, wireless infrastructure, consumer electronics, and passive optical networks.

What you will do

  • Own key analogue subsystems within high-speed IC development programmes.
  • Design circuit- and block-level analogue solutions meeting performance, power, area, and reliability targets.
  • Collaborate with layout engineers on post-layout performance, parasitics, and design optimisation.
  • Support verification, silicon validation, and bring-up by correlating simulations with laboratory measurements.
  • Work with Product Definition, Marketing, Test, Verification, Reliability, and Product Engineering teams.
  • Present technical work, participate in design reviews, and contribute to analogue design methodologies and architectures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • 0–2 years of relevant industry experience in analog IC design.
  • Strong knowledge of CMOS/BiCMOS analogue circuit design, semiconductor device physics, circuit theory, and design trade-offs.
  • Experience with Cadence design and simulation tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Structured thinking, attention to detail, collaboration, constructive technical debate, and motivation for continuous learning.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree or specialised analog IC design training.
  • Exposure to RF or high-speed analog design at 10GHz+.
  • Experience with laser driver or transimpedance amplifier circuits.
  • Knowledge of RF/analog layout, floorplanning, parasitics, matching, ESD, crosstalk, and IR drop.
  • Exposure to high-frequency passives, 3D modelling, device modelling, DFM, yield optimisation, and semiconductor reliability.

Culture & Benefits

  • Work within an international IC development team based in Stansted and Ottawa.
  • Access to resources and support for technical development in high-speed analog IC design.
  • Opportunities for career growth within a high-performance engineering organisation.
  • Recognition and reward for contributions that drive results.
