Analytical Chemistry Specialist

Location: Full-time on-site at the Moab, Utah facility; up to 50% travel within the continental United States and occasional international travel.

Salary: $85,000–$100,000 estimated base salary, plus equity; final salary depends on experience, location, and other factors.

What you will do

• Support and optimize analytical methodologies across multiple laboratory sites.
• Troubleshoot analytical techniques, data quality, and method-performance issues.
• Lead and support implementation of ICP-OES, ICP-MS, Atomic Absorption, and similar instrumentation.
• Develop, validate, and standardize analytical methods, workflows, SOPs, and technical guidance.
• Train laboratory personnel and provide internal technical support for complex analytical challenges.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate technologies and improve analytical efficiency and data reliability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Strong understanding of analytical techniques, sample preparation, and data interpretation.
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools, instrumentation components, and basic diagnostic equipment such as multimeters or voltmeters.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to train and support internal teams.
• Ability to work full-time on-site in Moab, Utah and travel up to 50%.

Nice to have

• Hands-on academic, internship, or research experience with ICP-OES, ICP-MS, Atomic Absorption, or similar analytical instrumentation.
• Availability for occasional international travel.
