Assoc Analytical Chemist

Location: Onsite in Rock Hill, South Carolina; candidates must be within commuting distance.

What you will do

• Prepare chemical samples for analysis using established protocols, including measuring, weighing, mixing, diluting, and extracting substances.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain analytical instruments and laboratory equipment.
• Conduct experiments, analyze chemical composition, and accurately document test data.
• Use statistical and analytical methods to process results, identify trends, and draw conclusions.
• Support quality control, laboratory cleanliness, regulatory compliance, and chemical safety procedures.
• Troubleshoot experimental and instrument issues in collaboration with senior chemists.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or a related science.
• At least 1 year of related experience.
• Familiarity with analytical instrumentation and chemical safety.
• Ability to lift and handle laboratory equipment and chemicals weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience troubleshooting analytical instruments.
• Experience with SAP or related software.
• Knowledge of pipettes, burettes, balances, and other laboratory equipment.
• Working knowledge of GC, IC, HPLC, UV/VIS, AAS, or ICP instrumentation.
