Programme Manager (Capital Projects)

Location: On-site in Auckland, Canterbury, Hamilton & North Waikato, or Taranaki, New Zealand

What you will do

• Lead large and strategically important capital programmes across the Growth or Remediation and New Assets portfolios.
• Direct programmes end to end, from investment planning and business case development through execution, transition, and delivery.
• Coordinate operational, technical, commercial, and project teams to achieve intended business outcomes.
• Establish governance structures, guide investment decisions, and lead programme integration.
• Manage stakeholder alignment, programme risks, and delivery outcomes across complex environments.

Requirements

• Proven experience delivering large, complex programmes with successful business outcomes.
• Strong programme leadership experience, ideally in capital projects, infrastructure, manufacturing, or industrial environments.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills across all organisational levels.
• Experience developing investment business cases and guiding projects through governance and approval processes.
• Strong commercial acumen, business analysis capability, and experience evaluating investment opportunities and risks.
• A tertiary qualification in Engineering, Project Management, Technology, or a related discipline.

Nice to have

• PMP or equivalent certification.
• Experience leading transformational change and integrating complex programmes of work.
