Site Reliability Engineer (Cloud)

Salary: $100,000–$140,000 per year

What you will do

• Implement and operate cloud-based microservices on Kubernetes and deploy services across AWS, OCI, Azure, and GCP.
• Conduct load and chaos testing to improve microservice scalability and reliability.
• Build observability, define SLA/SLO/SLI and KPI metrics, and support cloud platform operations.
• Develop disaster recovery plans, analyze production resource risks, and automate operational tasks with Python, Go, Bash, Java, or PowerShell.
• Participate in incident response, post-incident analysis, troubleshooting, and root-cause resolution.
• Create technical documentation, support technology evaluations and proofs of concept, and mentor less senior team members while participating in on-call rotations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or in a related role.
• Proficiency in programming or scripting with Java, Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Hands-on experience with SRE, DevOps, cloud operations, and cloud security best practices.
• Knowledge of identity and access management, network security, application security, data protection, and compliance requirements.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, teamwork, and technical documentation skills.

Nice to have

• AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or GCP Professional Cloud Architect certification.
• Experience with Kubernetes or other container orchestration technologies.
