TL;DR
Engineer I, Electrical & Control Engineering (Semiconductor Equipment): Designing, validating, and troubleshooting electrical and electro-mechanical systems for ultra-high-purity gas purification equipment with an accent on power distribution, control panels, instrumentation, and thermal control. Focus on PLC validation, electrical calculations, commissioning, production troubleshooting, and engineering documentation from concept through manufacturing release.
Location: Kulim, Kedah, Malaysia
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong understanding of electrical system design, power distribution, and industrial control systems.
- Experience creating electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, BOMs, routings, and technical documentation.
- Knowledge of electrical component selection, circuit protection, cable sizing, load calculations, and electrical design standards including UL508A, SEMI S2, NFPA, IEC, and CE.
- Hands-on experience with electrical troubleshooting, FAT, SAT, equipment startup, or production commissioning.
- Experience with CAD tools for electrical design and drafting; SolidWorks and DraftSight are preferred.

- Experience in semiconductor equipment manufacturing.
- Experience with PLC-based control systems, thermal control applications, and cross-site engineering collaboration.
- Strong root cause analysis, technical writing, and problem-solving skills.

What you will do
- Design electrical assemblies, power distribution systems, and control panels for ultra-high-purity gas purification systems.
- Develop schematics, wiring diagrams, I/O lists, panel layouts, BOMs, routings, drawings, and production documentation.
- Select electrical components, protection devices, sensors, instrumentation, and control hardware; perform load, cable sizing, and voltage-drop calculations.
- Support thermal control and PLC-based systems through validation, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and commissioning.
- Coordinate with mechanical, software, manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and contract manufacturers to improve designs and resolve issues.
- Drive engineering changes, risk assessments, FMEA activities, continuous improvement, and technical support during assembly and testing.
