Innovation Counsel - Litigation

Annual pay range: $225,000–$285,000

What you will do

• Support legal technology adoption initiatives across litigation and other practice groups.
• Design playbooks that explain best practices for using innovation technologies and processes.
• Organize presentations, status reports, and executive briefings for varied audiences.
• Collaborate with innovation, operations, technology, practice management, legal project management, and pricing teams to prioritize initiatives and improve workflows.
• Drive legal technology pilots, deployments, proofs of concept, experiments, and continuous improvements.
• Develop practice-specific resources and support change management, automation, and measurement efforts.

Requirements

• 4+ years of directly applicable legal practice or legal technology adoption experience.
• Juris Doctorate or non-US equivalent.
• Active bar membership in good standing or registered in-house counsel status in relevant jurisdictions, including the jurisdiction of the assigned office where applicable.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects involving legal technology, knowledge management, technology teams, and practice group leadership.
• Understanding of large law firm financial and work allocation processes.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office, iManage, and other firm applications after orientation; ability to travel and work extended or weekend hours when required.

Nice to have

• Experience with distributed systems and organizations.
• Experience with iManage or NetDocs, Elite 3E, Intapp, Litera, Thomson Reuters, or Lexis products.
• Experience with generative AI solutions in legal practice.
• Experience with alternative legal service or managed service providers, usage data, metrics, and data-driven storytelling.
