Senior Engineer I-Physical Design (VLSI)

What you will do

• Support physical design activities for 32-bit mixed-signal microcontrollers and microcontrollers with integrated wireless radios.
• Implement floorplanning, placement optimization, clock tree synthesis, routing, crosstalk avoidance, EMIR, and physical verification.
• Support timing closure, clock tree setup and debugging, synthesis, and general physical implementation.
• Develop place-and-route and low-power methodologies, including multi-voltage island floorplans.
• Implement flow development and automation, estimate die size, and support bond-out approval.
• Collaborate with international design and implementation teams, external vendors, and IP providers to resolve technical issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• 5+ years of relevant physical design experience.
• Strong understanding of VLSI, logic synthesis, and timing concepts including setup, hold, and uncertainty.
• Scripting experience in a programming language; TCL and Python are preferred.
• Basic RTL coding knowledge in VHDL or Verilog.
• Ability to work independently with strong debugging, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
