Location: Onsite in Blacksburg, Virginia, United States

Salary: $18.50–$20.00 per hour

What you will do

• Perform basic drill press, lathe, milling machine, and grinding operations.
• Operate tapping machines, shear vises, power hand tools, grinders, drills, sanders, and blasting equipment.
• Operate power band saws and cutoff saws, including selecting speeds, feeds, tooth sizes, and replacing or welding blades.
• Care for and apply turning, plunge, and form tools.
• Complete required production paperwork and other assigned duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred, or the ability to understand and apply verbal, written, and computer-based instructions in English.
• At least one year completed in an approved machine technology program, high school vocational program, or equivalent.
• Proficiency in general mathematics, including basic arithmetic.
• Knowledge of machine shop gauges and machines.
• ATDM graduates are encouraged to apply.
• The position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
