Waterjet Technician

Location: On-site in Austin, Texas; candidates must be based in the United States. Applicants must be U.S. Citizens or U.S. Persons in compliance with 10 CFR Part 810 and may not hold non-compliant foreign citizenships.

Salary: Starting at $30/hour, plus overtime eligibility.

What you will do

• Program, set up, and operate OMAX waterjet equipment to produce precision components.
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and basic troubleshooting to maintain equipment reliability.
• Interpret work instructions, blueprints, and procedures to select materials and cut production parts accurately.
• Safely handle and move large metal plates and small finished components using appropriate equipment.
• Communicate operational issues, delays, and concerns while prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

• At least one year of relevant technical experience and the ability to learn and adapt quickly.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Technical proficiency with equipment maintenance and hand tools.
• Ability to safely lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• Must be based in the United States and willing to work on-site in Austin, TX.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Person meeting 10 CFR Part 810 requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with OMAX Make software, including programming and operation.
• Experience rebuilding and maintaining waterjet pump systems.
• Forklift operation experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and manufacturing software systems.
