Mechanical Engineer (Space Technology)

Location: Porto, Portugal; candidates can be based in any hirify.global location, provided they have the legal right to work in their chosen location. Flexible remote work is available when possible, with hands-on cleanroom and laboratory work required as needed.

What you will do

• Lead mechanical design activities for satellites, subsystems, and ground support equipment.
• Produce 3D CAD models, assemblies, and technical drawings.
• Apply GD&T standards to ensure precision, manufacturability, and quality.
• Collaborate with AIT, systems, electronics, suppliers, customers, and project teams.
• Support satellite assembly and testing in cleanrooms and laboratories.
• Write test, analysis, and other technical documentation.

Requirements

• Background in mechanical design and manufacturing principles.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD tools and confident file management.
• Ability to work hands-on in cleanroom assembly and testing environments.
• Strong written, verbal, and multidisciplinary communication skills.
• Ability to take ownership and collaborate effectively.
