CASS Reconciliations Analyst (Fintech): Producing and reviewing daily internal and external client money reconciliations, control account evidence, MI, and audit-ready documentation with an accent on FCA CASS 7 compliance and data accuracy. What you will do
- Produce and review daily internal client money reconciliations and support external reconciliations to agreed deadlines.
- Prepare, reconcile, and evidence key client money control accounts, including creditors, adjustments, suspense, interest, and fees.
- Investigate reconciliation breaks and data quality issues, perform root cause analysis, implement fixes, and escalate regulatory or financial risks.
- Operate maker-checker controls, completeness and accuracy checks, exception management, and reconciliation reporting.
- Maintain procedures, desk instructions, MI, and evidence for the CASS Resolution Pack and support internal and external audits.
- Collaborate with Operations, Finance, Treasury, Custody, Transfer Agency, and platform teams on process changes and end-to-end control integrity.
Requirements
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including lookups, pivot tables, Power Query, and handling large datasets from multiple sources.
- Strong understanding of FCA CASS 7 rules and their operational application in a platform or wealth management environment.
- Knowledge of UK investment products and markets.
- Strong analytical, numerical accuracy, communication, reporting, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to escalate issues appropriately and adapt to changing business needs.
Nice to have
- Experience with the Platform, T-Rex, Glass, Accurate/Acurate, SSRS, Navision, workflow tools, or Ruleguard.
- Experience with data automation and compliance evidence repositories.
