Software Development Engineer, RBKS DSO EU (IoT)

hirify.global's Ring division develops apps, backend services, doorbells, cameras, and other connected home security devices.

What you will do

• Design and document distributed systems and microservices for Ring products.
• Build low-latency backend services with the reliability and uptime required for security systems.
• Write robust, maintainable code with clear and continuously updated documentation.
• Deliver customer value iteratively while developing longer-term solutions for roadmap goals.
• Implement unit and integration test automation for developed code.
• Use generative AI tools and techniques to improve development productivity, code quality, and system design while maintaining security and compliance.

Requirements

• Professional software development experience outside internships.
• Experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
• Programming experience in at least one software programming language.
• Experience with the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or an equivalent qualification.
