Software Engineer - Core Interfaces (React)

Location: Palo Alto, California, United States; on-site

Salary: $135,000–$200,000 per year, excluding potential bonuses, benefits, and long-term incentives.

What you will do

• Build and maintain cross-application frontend frameworks across hirify.global’s application ecosystem.
• Enable real-time communication between browser applications using Broadcast Channels, Service Workers, and Local Storage.
• Develop an Electron application and integrate desktop capabilities through the IPC API.
• Design ergonomic, portable, extensible APIs for complex cross-application interactions.
• Make framework-enabled interactions feel native and intuitive across different applications.
• Collaborate with teams across the company and ramp up on unfamiliar codebases and architectural patterns.

Requirements

• On-site work from the Palo Alto office is required.
• 2+ years of frontend software engineering experience.
• Strong frontend coding skills, including JavaScript proficiency and knowledge of web technologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent understanding of algorithms, performance, and systems design.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Eligibility and willingness to obtain a US security clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience with TypeScript, React, Electron, and modern web APIs.
• Experience with Gradle, Webpack, GitHub, CircleCI, and CI/CD development environments.
