Head of People (Fintech)

What you will do

• Develop and execute the People & Culture strategy in line with business growth plans.
• Advise the South Africa Senior Leadership Team on organisational design, leadership capability, workforce planning, and culture.
• Lead talent acquisition, employer branding, succession planning, leadership development, and performance management.
• Oversee remuneration, incentives, benefits, employee engagement, wellbeing, inclusion, and pay equity readiness.
• Ensure HR governance, employment equity, skills development, BBBEE, industrial relations, and dispute resolution requirements are managed.
• Lead HR operations, payroll oversight, HR systems, reporting, process digitalisation, analytics, and development of a scalable HR operating model.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including at least 5 years at senior management or Head of HR level.
• Experience leading HR strategy in medium to large organisations with 500+ employees.
• Strong working knowledge of South African labour legislation and employment practices.
• Experience with organisational change, leadership development, and scaling businesses.
• Strategic thinking, commercial acumen, executive presence, influencing skills, governance awareness, and data-driven decision-making.
• Experience in financial services, fintech, wealth management, banking, technology, or another regulated environment is preferred.

Nice to have

• Postgraduate qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Business, or Law.
• Professional registration such as SABPP.
• Experience working with Boards and Remuneration Committees.
