Senior Analytics Engineer I

Location: Onsite at hirify.global’s global headquarters in Long Beach, California, United States

Base salary: $101,600–$127,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Design scalable data architectures, metadata-driven pipelines, and enterprise data models across multiple subject areas.
• Build and optimize data solutions using SQL, dbt, Azure Data Factory, SSIS, Databricks, Python, and streaming or real-time data patterns.
• Lead analytical initiatives, KPI frameworks, semantic layers, and enterprise BI models using Power BI, Tableau, and Grafana.
• Implement data governance, metadata management, privacy policies, retention standards, and data quality remediation processes.
• Review SQL, dbt, Python, DAX, and M Query code and mentor junior engineers.
• Partner with business leaders and Director-level stakeholders on technical solutions, architecture reviews, sprint planning, and roadmap development.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering or data platform development, with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and a high school diploma or GED.
• Expertise in data modeling and architecture across multiple subject areas.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, SSIS, Databricks, dbt or modern open-source ETL/ELT tools, Kubernetes, Power BI, DAX, M Query, TDML, and semantic layers.
• Cloud platform experience with Azure or AWS.
• Technical leadership experience, including establishing standards and mentoring engineers.
• US citizenship is required due to program requirements; US space technology export regulations also apply.

Nice to have

• Advanced SQL skills, including execution plans, indexing, and performance tuning.
• PowerApps or Power Automate experience.
• Microsoft Azure, AWS, or BI data warehouse certifications.
• Cloud computing and deployment experience.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
