Network And Infrastructure Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Barcelona, Spain; hybrid work with up to 3 days per week remote

What you will do

• Design, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, routing, switching, firewall, and load-balancing infrastructure.
• Build and maintain secure cloud and on-premises environments using VMware, KVM, AWS, and Azure.
• Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines and automate deployment and configuration with Ansible and scripting.
• Monitor network performance, security threats, and system reliability; participate in incident response and SOC activities.
• Improve disaster recovery, monitoring, server provisioning, documentation, and security processes.
• Collaborate with development, Security, IT, vendors, and service providers to resolve operational issues and implement infrastructure improvements.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in network engineering, infrastructure engineering, or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP, DHCP, and DNS.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise firewalls and routing and switching platforms.
• Experience with VMware, AWS or Azure networking, VPN technologies, Linux and/or Windows administration, Docker, Bash, CI/CD, and automation tools.
• Understanding of enterprise security controls, network security practices, and cloud and on-premises environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or equivalent experience; excellent English communication and technical documentation skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Palo Alto, IAM tools such as Okta, EDR solutions such as Microsoft Defender, or secret management tools.
• Knowledge of DevOps principles and software engineering best practices.
• French language skills.
