What you will do

• Provide compassionate medical, surgical, and preventive care for pets.
• Perform complex surgical procedures and manage complicated medical cases.
• Maintain accurate medical records and deliver against clinical and operational metrics.
• Build relationships with clients through communication, education, and treatment guidance.
• Collaborate with and support the veterinary and paraprofessional teams through delegation, mentorship, and case discussions.
• Manage controlled-substance ordering, storage, inventory, reconciliation, disposal, and regulatory records when designated.

Requirements

• DVM or VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited college, or an ECFVG/PAVE equivalent.
• Active veterinary license, USDA license, and DEA registration in good standing, or the ability to obtain them in the practicing state.
• 5+ years of general medicine and surgery practice experience; residency or internship training is required.
• Experience performing cystotomy, abdominal exploratory surgery, pyometra surgery, gastrotomy, enterotomy, and splenectomy.
• Strong evidence-based clinical, communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to stand or walk for up to 80% of a shift and frequently lift up to 50 pounds, with team lifting for heavier loads.
