Network Security Engineer II (Cybersecurity)

Location: US work from home; hybrid schedule with two office days per week if located near a hirify.global office, or 100% remote otherwise. US citizenship is required.

Salary: $71,997–$105,595.60 per year, depending on geographic market, skills, and experience.

What you will do

• Serve as a technical escalation point for Cloud Support and Engineering teams and resolve complex customer issues.
• Monitor and maintain related cloud infrastructure, ensuring environment control, integrity, and accessibility.
• Implement large, complex enterprise-class solutions and contribute to system architecture enhancements.
• Lead problem management, fleet, workload, workforce management, and optimization tasks.
• Collaborate with Account Managers, Business Development Consultants, engineers, and administrators to support customers and share technical knowledge.

Requirements

• US citizenship and successful completion of a US Federal Background check are required.
• At least three years of relevant experience; a high school diploma is required.
• CCNA certification is required; a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field is preferred.
• Experience with F5 load balancers and Palo Alto firewalls.
• Knowledge of ethical hacking, firewall and intrusion detection/prevention technologies, secure coding, and threat modeling.
• Advanced experience with virtualization, Windows, Unix/Linux, network and server hardware, storage technologies, secure network architecture, IAM, application security, encryption, DNS, SOA, databases, and web applications.

Nice to have

• Palo Alto Networks Certified Next-Generation Firewall Engineer (PCNSE) certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
