Performance Software Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Develop and optimize low-level software primitives, kernels, runtime components, hardware abstraction layers, drivers, and firmware in C/C++, assembly, and architecture-specific intrinsics.
• Build performance-critical software for RISC-V and ARM platforms in bare-metal and highly constrained environments.
• Collaborate with hardware architects and RTL/design teams on hardware-software interfaces, memory maps, registers, interrupts, synchronization, and boot flows.
• Analyze and optimize latency, throughput, memory footprint, instruction count, and accelerator utilization.
• Bring up and debug software across simulation, emulation, FPGA, and silicon platforms.
• Develop validation tests, benchmarks, diagnostic tools, and contribute to ISA, compiler, memory hierarchy, DMA, and cache-coherency decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong low-level systems programming experience with C/C++ and assembly, including understanding of compiled software, machine instructions, and hardware behavior.
• Deep familiarity with bare-metal development, startup code, linker scripts, memory layout, MMIO, interrupts, timers, synchronization, and peripheral access.
• Strong understanding of computer architecture, pipelines, caches, memory hierarchies, addressing, atomics, DMA, and access-pattern performance.
• Hands-on experience with RISC-V and/or ARM, plus debugging tools such as GDB, JTAG, simulators, emulators, or FPGA platforms.
• Proficient English required. French is a plus.
