TL;DR

Process Support Engineer III (Semiconductor): Supporting semiconductor process development and complex equipment through on-site installations, system diagnoses, service, repair, and customer collaboration with an accent on design of experiments, statistical data analysis, and root cause investigation. Focus on developing advanced chip-manufacturing processes, troubleshooting difficult process and product issues, and guiding junior colleagues while coordinating customers and internal teams.

Location: Shanghai, China; on-site customer support is required. Relocation is not available.

What you will do

Provide on-site customer support through installations, system diagnoses, service, and repair of complex semiconductor equipment.
Work with customers and R&D teams to develop advanced processes for semiconductor chip manufacturing.
Create hypothesis experiments and design of experiments, analyze experimental data statistically, and prepare reports with high-level conclusions.
Troubleshoot complex process and customer product issues, perform root cause analyses, and implement resolutions.
Build trusted relationships with customers and internal stakeholders while serving as a liaison with the business unit.
Serve as a resource for junior colleagues and may lead small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, physics, materials engineering, electrical engineering, optoelectronics, or a related field.
3–7 years of experience in the semiconductor fab or equipment industry.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to explain sensitive information and build consensus among project stakeholders.
English communication proficiency.

Nice to have

Master’s degree or PhD in a related field.
Experience related to electron-beam inspection.
Electron-beam-related experience.
YE or fab-related experience.
Semiconductor-related experience.
