Director of Supply Chain Quality (Hardware Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Lead and develop the Supplier Quality and Contract Manufacturing Quality teams.
• Own the development, governance, and maintenance of quality assurance specifications with supplier quality, manufacturing quality, and hardware design teams.
• Set the supply chain quality strategy and own the quality management system as the business scales.
• Build quality metrics and reporting across suppliers and contract manufacturers.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective action for significant quality escapes and systemic issues.
• Partner with hardware engineering, operations, sourcing, and supply chain leadership to identify quality risks during new product introduction and ongoing production.

Requirements

• Significant experience leading quality functions in hardware or electronics manufacturing, ideally across supplier and manufacturing quality.
• Experience owning quality assurance specifications and cross-functional development and maintenance processes.
• Experience building and developing high-performing quality teams.
• Strong understanding of quality management systems, audit methodologies, part approval processes, and pragmatic quality practices.
• Strong cross-functional leadership across engineering, operations, and sourcing.
• Analytical, data-driven, technically hands-on, and able to communicate at both board and production-line levels.
