AI Infrastructure Lead (AU)

Location: Onsite at the central headquarters in Sydney, Australia

What you will do

• Lead the AI Infrastructure team’s planning, priorities, daily operations, and delivery across workstreams.
• Translate long-term architectural direction from the Principal Engineer into actionable plans and executed initiatives.
• Coordinate dependencies and priorities across AI Teams, Data Engineering, and Data Capture & Delivery.
• Improve the reliability, performance, automation, observability, and operational quality of AI infrastructure.
• Contribute hands-on to complex technical initiatives and validate infrastructure design approaches.
• Mentor engineers and build a high-performing, collaborative team.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of experience in infrastructure, SRE, platform engineering, or AI/ML infrastructure, including engineering team leadership.
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes environments, Linux infrastructure operations, Linux internals, networking, performance, and automation.
• Experience with high-performance compute environments, including GPUs, storage systems, or distributed compute.
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, networking security principles, and scalable architecture patterns.

Nice to have

• CKA or CKS certification.
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD.
