Image Production Engineer (Satellite Imagery)

Location: Hybrid, based in Harwell, UK; Barcelona, Spain; Porto, Portugal; Athens, Greece; or Buenos Aires, Argentina. Legal right to work in the chosen location is required.

What you will do

• Own and continuously improve the imagery processing pipeline from acquisition through customer delivery.
• Ensure pipeline quality, reliability, performance and output consistency meet KPIs and customer expectations.
• Identify and resolve issues, bottlenecks and failure points through root-cause analysis.
• Define data quality standards and implement validation, monitoring and performance optimization.
• Work with engineering and SRE to maintain scalable and resilient systems.
• Troubleshoot and improve production Python code while supporting customer delivery.

Requirements

• Experience owning data or imagery pipelines end to end, from acquisition to delivery.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve issues at their root cause.
• Confidence working with Python in production environments.
• Solid understanding of remote sensing and satellite imagery processing.
• Ability to build and apply monitoring, validation and performance optimization approaches.
• Legal right to work in the selected UK, Spanish, Portuguese, Greek or Argentine location.
