Sr. Process Engineer - Photolithography

Location: Essex Junction, VT, United States; fully on site at Fab9. Monday–Friday daytime schedule in a 24/7 manufacturing facility. Work in a clean room wearing gloves, personal protective equipment, and a clean room suit for up to 8 hours per day.

Salary: $69,000–$120,000 per year. Exact salary depends on qualifications, experience, and location.

What you will do

• Own production levels and sustain existing photolithography processes for the 200mm Fab9 fabrication team.
• Learn and operate Fab9 photolithography systems and tools while balancing quality, cost, delivery, and output standards.
• Develop new processes and execute qualification plans for photolithography chemicals and next-generation tooling across 365nm, 248nm, and 193nm wavelengths.
• Collaborate with equipment, integration, characterization, development, and manufacturing teams on tool qualifications, SPC, new technologies, and features.
• Reduce photolithography cycle time and cost, increase yield, and create and improve standard work.
• Coordinate information exchange, build working relationships, communicate across departments, and support safety, environmental, health, and security requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, materials science, or a related technical discipline, plus 2–4 years of relevant semiconductor experience.
• Fluency in written and verbal English.
• Applied knowledge of photolithography.
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects, take initiative, and drive solutions to problems.
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing processes and activities, including 5S, structured problem solving, value stream mapping, Kaizen teams, and etch.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in engineering or materials science.
• 4+ years of relevant semiconductor experience and advanced knowledge of photolithography.
• Advanced understanding of Lean manufacturing processes and activities, including 5S, structured problem solving, value stream mapping, Kaizen teams, and Training Within Industry (TWI).
• Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing equipment and hirify.global systems in Essex, VT.
