DevOps Engineer (On-premises Platform)

Location: Prague or remote within the EU. Full remote or hybrid work is available; the Prague office is an option for local employees. The role is primarily CET-based, and EU citizenship or other eligibility to work in the EU is required.

What you will do

• Build and improve product-platform components and tooling with Python and TypeScript.
• Evolve the product from a monolithic application toward cleaner modules and services.
• Design and implement a next-generation deployment model, including migration from Debian packages toward containers.
• Build, troubleshoot, and improve CI/CD, build, and testing infrastructure.
• Improve local product development, platform stability, performance, maintainability, and developer experience.
• Work with Kubernetes and containerized workloads while contributing to code reviews, observability, testing, and secure engineering practices.

Requirements

• Strong GNU/Linux fundamentals and strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on experience with containers and practical Kubernetes knowledge, or strong relevant fundamentals with the ability to become productive quickly.
• Experience building, maintaining, or improving CI/CD pipelines.
• Software-development experience in Python and/or TypeScript.
• Ability to independently own technical implementation and apply modern software-engineering practices, including testing and version control.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills and EU work eligibility are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with both Python and TypeScript, Node.js, developer tooling, or DevEx.
• Experience modernizing deployments, migrating workloads to containers, or decomposing monolithic applications.
• Experience with build systems, testing infrastructure, local-development environments, software hardening, security, performance, or reliability improvements.
