Senior Platform Engineer (Architect) (AWS/Backstage): Building an internal developer platform and modernizing infrastructure for low-latency capital markets systems with an accent on Backstage, AWS migration, RHEL optimization, and developer self-service. Focus on designing reliable platform architecture, implementing GitOps and progressive delivery, and solving performance and operational challenges across VMware, Kubernetes, and cloud environments.

What you will do
- Architect and build Backstage as the central software catalog and source of truth for engineering metadata, ownership, and telemetry.
- Modernize deployment pipelines through GitOps, containerization, CI/CD, and progressive delivery.
- Build golden paths, internal developer platform capabilities, and self-service tools that simplify AWS infrastructure access.
- Support Linux SRE operations and optimize Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments for high-performance, low-latency workloads.
- Help migrate latency-sensitive systems from VMware data centers to AWS and modernize the cloud footprint.
- Develop reproducible Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, CDK, and related tools; participate in on-call rotations.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience primarily in platform engineering, SRE, or modern DevOps.
- Experience building Internal Developer Platforms and configuring Backstage plugins and data models.
- Expertise in Linux and Red Hat Enterprise Linux, including performance tuning and troubleshooting under heavy load.
- Experience with AWS and migrating workloads from legacy on-premises VMware environments.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and GitOps tools such as ArgoCD or Flux.
- Ability to automate with Python, Go, TypeScript, or Bash.

- Open-source contributions or experience building custom Backstage plugins.
- Experience integrating Datadog, Prometheus, or similar telemetry into developer portals.
- Fintech, trading, or capital markets experience.
