Esoteric ABS Research Analyst (Asset Management)

Location: Chicago

Salary: USD 160,000–USD 175,000 yearly

What you will do

• Provide fundamental credit analysis supporting investment decisions for esoteric and commercial ABS and other structured or securitized products.
• Support the Chicago-based US Fixed Income Team in managing securitized product investments.
• Analyze new and existing opportunities by liaising with company management teams, rating agencies, and investment bank syndicate and research teams.
• Research ABS issuers and collateral types, primarily across esoteric and commercial ABS sectors.
• Support analysis in additional securitized subsectors as internal efforts expand.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of applicable ABS sector experience and an advanced degree.
• Experience with securitized research and analysis, including understanding ABS sectors such as aircraft, digital infrastructure including data centers and fiber, cell towers, containers, commercial and solar PACE, legal settlements, railcars, timeshare, and whole business.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to take ownership of assigned responsibilities independently and accurately.
• Strong Intex, Bloomberg, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.
• ABS modeling experience.
• Working knowledge of all securitized products.

• Prior research experience analyzing various commercial ABS sectors.
