Trading Operations Specialist (Fintech)

Location: New York, United States

Salary: $125,000–$175,000 per year, excluding bonuses, benefits, and other compensation.

What you will do

• Monitor regulatory processes, pre-market activities, and intra-trading-day workflows.
• Manage trade clearance, settlement, and reconciliation for multiple trading desks.
• Communicate with traders, finance, compliance, brokers, counterparties, and clients.
• Ensure timely settlement, accurate books and records, and reduced operational risk.
• Improve operations workflows and build relationships with third-party providers.
• Participate in data analysis and the development of new systems and controls for markets and asset classes.

Requirements

• 2–6 years of experience in a trade support role at a financial institution, preferably a bank or trading firm.
• Experience in middle- or back-office trading operations and a solid understanding of clearing and settlement cycles.
• Required experience with SQL; interest in developing programming skills.
• Ability to solve problems, improve workflows, and design workable solutions for complex programs.
• Strong communication skills for translating ideas into practical solutions.
