Country Manager, El Salvador (Crypto)

Location: Remote within El Salvador; must be an El Salvador citizen, maintain primary residence in El Salvador, and perform the role locally on a full-time basis.

What you will do

• Lead the day-to-day management and oversight of regulated VASP and EMI operations in El Salvador.
• Execute the local business strategy in line with group objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure licensed activities comply with applicable laws, licence conditions, and internal policies.
• Represent the company with local regulators, financial institutions, banking partners, and external stakeholders.
• Oversee operational, compliance, financial, and risk management activities while driving customer experience and business growth.
• Build and develop the local management team and provide reporting to group leadership and governance committees.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Law, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in financial services, banking, payments, fintech, or digital assets.
• Previous senior management, country leadership, or executive experience.
• Strong knowledge of El Salvador’s financial services, payments, and virtual asset regulatory landscape.
• Strong commercial, operational, leadership, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluency in Spanish and English is required.
