Staff FinOps Analyst (AWS/OCI)

Location: Palermo, Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires, Argentina. Hybrid role with 3 days per week onsite; candidates based in the Buenos Aires vicinity will be prioritized.

What you will do

• Monitor cloud spend, usage, commitments, and cost trends across public and private cloud environments.
• Identify, quantify, prioritize, and track savings opportunities involving rightsizing, idle resources, storage, and unnecessary cloud resources.
• Manage commitment and discount programs, including AWS Savings Plans, Reserved Instances, and OCI commitments.
• Build budgets, forecasts, thresholds, anomaly detection, dashboards, alerts, and recurring FinOps reports.
• Use cloud-provider interfaces, APIs, CLI tools, and shell scripts to collect and process billing, inventory, usage, and configuration data.
• Partner with SRE, infrastructure, engineering, finance, procurement, application teams, and resource owners on optimization, governance, showback, chargeback, and measurable savings.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in FinOps, cloud cost management, cloud economics, technology financial management, cloud operations analytics, or a related discipline.
• Hands-on experience managing and optimizing costs in both AWS and OCI.
• Strong knowledge of cloud billing, pricing, metering, commitment and discount models, cost allocation, budgeting, forecasting, alerting, and usage-based optimization.
• Experience delivering measurable savings through rightsizing, commitment planning, idle-resource remediation, and storage optimization.
• Ability to use APIs and write basic Bash or shell scripts for recurring FinOps reporting and analysis.
• Strong analytical, written, verbal, and cross-functional communication skills, including work with billing and usage datasets, spreadsheets, SQL, BI tools, or comparable platforms.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure or GCP cost-management capabilities.
• Experience with third-party FinOps, cloud-cost-management, observability, reporting, or BI platforms.
• Familiarity with private-cloud and Kubernetes cost allocation, shared infrastructure cost modeling, data-transfer analysis, and unit economics.
• Experience with showback/chargeback, forecasting, annual planning, cloud procurement, or contract renewals.
• FinOps or relevant cloud certification and experience in a global SaaS or large-scale technology environment.
