Staff Frontend Engineer (React)

Location: Munich, Germany; hybrid with an expectation to work onsite 3 days per week. Employees may work remotely from abroad for up to 30 additional days per year.

What you will do

• Establish company-wide technical standards and best practices for frontend architecture.
• Design and evolve the micro frontend platform, including Module Federation, shared dependency strategies, and cross-team contracts.
• Deliver large cross-team and cross-domain initiatives across independently deployed frontends.
• Own products and services end-to-end, from requirements through production deployment.
• Lead a technical team, shape engineering practices, and mentor fellow engineers through collaborative agile methods.
• Improve frontend performance, reliability, and developer experience across a distributed team topology.

Requirements

• Deep hands-on frontend engineering experience with React, modern JavaScript and TypeScript, and clean code principles.
• Proven experience designing, building, and maintaining micro frontend systems at scale, including Module Federation with Webpack or Vite.
• Experience with shared component or design systems and independently deployable frontend applications.
• Experience designing scalable, high-availability frontend architectures and runtime/build contracts for autonomous teams.
• Familiarity with frontend build and deployment pipelines, cloud-native environments, CDN-based deployments, and CI/CD; AWS experience is preferred, with Azure or GCP as comparable alternatives.
• Professional working proficiency in English and the ability to communicate technical ideas clearly.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Webpack 5, and Vite.
• Experience leading teams and shaping engineering culture.
