Senior Quality & Reliability Engineering Manager (Laser Systems)

Location: Beaverton, Oregon, United States; office-based role

Salary: $135,000–$225,000 per year, plus eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus.

What you will do

• Define and execute quality and reliability plans for new product introduction programs.
• Lead reliability engineering across the product lifecycle, including DFR, DFMEA, PFMEA, risk assessments, and reliability modeling.
• Oversee product qualification, validation, and life-testing strategies to meet reliability and durability targets.
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions using 8D, CAPA, and FRACAS methodologies.
• Own and improve the Quality Management System, including ISO 9001:2015 compliance and internal, external, and customer audits.
• Lead cross-functional quality improvement teams and support design reviews for high-power laser-based systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical, reliability, mechanical engineering, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of experience in quality engineering, reliability engineering leadership, or related technical disciplines.
• Experience managing QMS programs, audits, and quality-system improvements.
• Proficiency with DFMEA, APQP, 8D, CAPA, and FRACAS.
• Strong analytical and data-visualization skills with ReliaSoft, JMP, MATLAB, Power BI, and/or Python.
• Ability to travel up to 10% and work in a professional office environment with extended computer use.

Nice to have

• Experience with high-power industrial lasers, laser-based systems, or complex electromechanical systems.
• ASQ CQM/OE or CRE certification, Six Sigma Black Belt, or equivalent.
