Environment Engineer

Location: Reston, Virginia, United States. Applicants must be US citizens or green card holders who have lived in the US for 3 of the last 5 years and must already have US work authorization without current or future visa sponsorship requirements.

What you will do

• Provide ongoing technical support and maintenance for production and nonproduction systems and software products.
• Support configured services running primarily on UNIX platforms.
• Implement operating-system-level technology across server, network, and software environments.
• Perform intermediate and advanced L2 and L3 troubleshooting.
• Open and manage support tickets with software vendors.
• Participate in planning and executing project work involving middleware systems.

Requirements

• 3+ years of environment management experience.
• 3+ years of Linux/Unix platform experience.
• 3+ years of JBoss or Tomcat experience.
• 2+ years of Java experience in development, deployment, or application server administration.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• US citizenship or green card status, the specified U.S. residency history, and work authorization without visa sponsorship are required; an active security clearance or ability to obtain one may also be required.
